LIFEBLOOD OF A NATION - Zak Shaw Photography. Wild Rivers images summer 09/10

This NZ spring and summer I've been active with camera in hand photographing rivers.
I hope my river images stimulate memories and experiences surrounding rivers.
Wild rivers are New Zealand’s Lifeblood. The SPARC Lifeblood of the Nation expedition is aimed at raising public consciousness about New Zealand’s rivers and the threats many of them currently face. Lifeblood is aimed at highlighting what we have and what we stand to lose.
For an indepth write up on whats happening check out this backdated link

Many New Zealanders have emotional ties to standout places. The value of some of them is in question...What value do you place on knowing that these places will be there the next time you visit?
enjoy!
